Dr. Dwayne Mercer is a native of Georgia. He and his wife, Pam, have three adult children and seven adorable grandchildren. The Mercers served at CrossLife Church since 1993, as it has grown from 1,100 to 7,000 members and more than 6,000 new believers have been baptized during that time. While attending Toccoa Falls College, Southwestern, and Mid-America Seminaries, Dr. Mercer learned his love for God’s Word. His passion is to reach people for Christ and see them grow in their walk with God. In 2025, the Mercers retired from CrossLife Church.

Ken Bevel is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and has been a member of Sherwood Baptist Church since February 2007.
 
MINISTRY:  After 20 years of active service in the United States Marine Corps, Ken retired to serve in the ministry.  He currently assumes the role as the Pastor of Membership and Local Missions at Sherwood Baptist Church.  
 
FILM:  In addition to his daily responsibilities, Ken may be recognized by his role as Lieutenant Michael Simmons in the 2008 inspirational movie “Fireproof” and for his role as Nathan Hayes in the 2011 movie “Courageous.”
 
EDUCATION:  Ken is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology and a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School with a Master of Business Administration degree in Logistics Management.  
 
FAMILY:  Ken and Lauana have been happily married for 29 years and two children, Kyra and Kaleb.
