Cedar Creek is a family church and welcomes people of all ages. We are conservative in belief and generous in love with something to offer every member. We worship with a blend of hymns and contemporary music. We invite you to meet our pastor, Duke Forster, and the people who make up the Cedar Creek family. Bring your family to join us as we worship and serve the savior Jesus Christ.
Feel free to come wearing anything from blue jeans to a suit and see why we have one of the fastest growing congregations in the association.
Our mission is to simply love God and love people.
To encourage, teach, train, equip and send others out to do the same. We focus on the individual, family, church, community and the world through our mission efforts.
- Matthew 22:35
Duke Forster became Pastor at Cedar Creek Baptist Church in October 2015. He and his wife Michele (a 4th grade teacher at Hebron Christian Academy) celebrated their 23rd year anniversary together this past November. They have three children, Emily, Anna and Steven. Emily is a 3rd year student at Georgia Gwinnett College while Anna is a second year student at North GA. Steven attends Hebron Christian Academy as a 11th grader.
Duke has served in many different roles at Hebron Baptist over the last 24 years. Most recently he was an associate pastor over community missions and Celebrate Recovery (a church organization for helping those struggling in life). Throughout those 24 years he has gained a wide variety of experience with community involvement, pastoral care, children’s ministry, missions and evangelism.
Duke was licensed in ministry on February 12, 1995 and ordained on January 12, 1997. He is certified as a Police Chaplain and Critical Incident Stress management, CWT & BWR. He has led numerous mission trips locally, across the state and around the world. He currently serves as a chaplain at the local and state level with City of Winder Police, Barrow County Sherrif Department, DNR and Homeland Security.
He has a love for the church and the community as well as God and his teachings. He hopes to spread the word so that others may find strength and salvation in Him.
